Our Summer Programs (3/21 Open House)

One-week and two-week sessions beginning June 18, ending August 24.

See the full schedule.

To succeed in math, change how you do math!

Conventional math classes do not teach the math kids need to succeed in science, engineering, and the social sciences. They don't even teach the math kids need to suceed in math. The kids who do best in math classes do math differently from the way the book teaches. Most math instruction focuses on calculation at the expense of mathematical reasoning. The best math students figure out that, if they focus on a few principles of mathematical reasoning, they don't have to memorize as much and can answer a greater variety of problems.

We have designed programs to teach middle school and high school students to do math the way the "smart" kids do math.

Our summer program morning sessions are two weeks long and dedicated to more academic subjects--mostly in math, but we also offer a rigorous course in the design of tabletop games.

Our summer program afternoon sessions are one week long, and are dedicated to art, crafts and making things.

Space is limited! Please RSVP via EventBrite. One ticket per family.
